Mexico City-based Equipment Processing Center Mexico, S de RL de CV (EPC Mexico), a subsidiary of CSI Mexico Holdings, S de RL de CV (CSI Mexico) and part of CSI Leasing’s global network of premier IT asset disposition (ITAD) providers, moved its operations to a larger facility to accommodate increasing business volume and improvement of operational processes. At 11,500 square feet, the new facility is approximately tripling the company’s footprint in the region. It is expected to double its current processing capacity. Assets processed include information technology, forklifts, furniture and selected heavy machinery, among others. The company will continue to offer mobile as well as remote data security services, remarketing services, managed logistics and electronics recycling for a wide range of technology.
The facility, located in Colonia Granjas approximately 20 minutes from the Mexico City Airport, will continue to be managed by Gustavo Manuel Gonzalez Olmedo. As the company continues to expand processing capacity, it plans to hire additional staff in the future. The facility is ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certified and is in the process of applying for an R2v3 certification expected in early 2024.
“The demand for proper technology disposal has increased dramatically in Mexico,” said Gustavo. “That, combined with the increase in lease returns from CSI’s customers, was the big driver behind our move. The bigger space will help us streamline our process and provide better working conditions for all employees. I’m excited for this opportunity to grow our operations and to bring our sustainable, secure solutions to more organizations in Mexico.”
